Super Easy Naan Pizzas, 2 Ways

Ingredients
  

Cheese Pizza

  • Naan bread
  • Tomato sauce canned or homemade
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Cheddar cheese freshly shredded
  • Italian seasoning

Pesto, Garlic, and Kale Pizza

  • Naan bread
  • Pesto sauce jarred or homemade
  • Fresh kale torn into large pieces
  • Italian seasoning
  • Mozzarella
  • Fresh garlic cloves peeled and minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter or oil for sautéing the kale

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350º F. If you have a flat roasting rack, position it on a baking sheet. If you don't have one, don't worry about it.

Cheese Pizza

  • Spread each piece of naan with 2-3 spoonfuls of tomato sauce. Top with a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese, then add small torn pieces of mozzarella. Sprinkle lightly with Italian seasoning.
  • Add to the baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the crust is slightly crisp. Turn the oven to high broil and broil for 1-2 minutes, monitoring it closely, until the cheese bubbles. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve.

Pesto, Garlic, and Kale Pizza

  • Heat some butter or oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, about one clove per pizza, and stir constantly until aromatic. Add the kale and some salt and sauté until soft and wilted, a few minutes more.
  • Spread each piece of naan with 2-3 spoonfuls of pesto. Top with torn chunks of mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Arrange the sautéed kale on top.
  • Add to the baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the crust is slightly crisp. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve.
